They will sing the most famous Gospel and Spiritual songs. The concert is free entry.

SATURDAY, 30th SEPTEMBER 2017, Parish hall, Lugano Besso Church – from 7p.m, “TAAS E LAVURA”, I MatirööThe Culture Ticino Network of Lugano and the theater company “I Matiröö” of Vacallo are pleased to invite you to the theatrical and charity show “Taas e lavura” that will take place in the Parish hall of San Nicolao Church of Besso, starting from 7p.m.
A solidarity aperitif will be offered before the start of the show.
The dialectical comedy is written and directed by Gianni Delorenzi, and tells the story of four tough women arguing about their dreams and their work problems.

It will follow by a musical performance of his songs, carefully selected for this occasion. During the event, you will enjoy a delicious vegan tasting with special drinks. The cost of attendance is CHF 25 per person and a part of this revenue will be devoted to support the solidarity projects of our Association.

Friday 16 and Saturday 17 June 2017: National’s day of the Philippines in Bern
Friday 16 June, the President of Culture Ticino Network Association Margherita Maffeis, was invited to Bern for celebrating the National’s day of the Philippines and for meeting the Ambassador of the Philippines Joselito Alegado Jimeno, who will be our guest for the 7th edition of the World Peace Forum from November 13th to December 7th 2017 in Lugano. For the occasion was organized a refreshments with the Embassy of the Philippines.
Saturday 17 June, took place the celebration of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Switzerland and the Philippines. For the first time it was thought of celebrating a Philippine Festival in Bern at the famous square of Waisenhausplatz. The celebration was organized by the Embassy of the Philippines and the local Philippine communities of Bern. For the event there was a Philippine Market, where the participants had the possibility of meeting and seeing the culture of this country.
Many stands provided a tasting of local dishes, selling of handmade products and traditional dresses. The celebration was plenty of music and many exhibitions: like the fight with wood stick or the wonderful group dance. The popular music involved and the colourful dresses have guaranteed an amazing experience for the participants.
Saturday 24 June 2017: San Zosimo Award in Lavena Ponte TresaSaturday 24 June 2017, the President of Culture Ticino Network Association Margherita Maffeis, received from Stefano Cropanese the founder of Reatium Association, a recognition for the important work that she has been doing during these years.
The ceremony took place at the church of SS.Crocifisso in Lavena Ponte Tresa and during the event other women received a recognition. Moreover the actress Claudia Koll was rewarded from the San Zosimo Award.
During the years the San Zosimo Award was confered to many famous people like: Pope Francesco, Andrea Bocelli and Ennio Morricone.
The ceremony was livened up by many different chorus.
Friday, march 24th 2017, at 18.30 PM, Hotel Dante LuganoWaiting for the 7th World Forum for Peace, the Culture Ticino Network Association helds an important event of fundraising in order to support his solidary projects of this year and it has the pleasure to invite you in a solidarity event, in which the President Margherita Maffeis will introduce the project supported and afterward there will be the presentation of the unpublished book “Rossini, la musica del cibo” (Rossini, music of food) from the well-known writer Ketty Magni. The meeting will take place from 18.30 PM at Hotel Dante of Lugano and will include the participation of Marta Lenzi Repetto, expert of history of gastronomy.
The funds raised will be donated to support the new international project of the Culture Ticino Network Association, that plans the “realization of a multipurpose center in the Philippines, which provides with food, medical exams and cultural-artistic moment for needy children and boys”.
